As
some may know, the name Proctor is rooted from the title of "Protector"
(not Proctologist!!). As the story goes, Proctor was born and raised
on the city planet of Coruscant. Part of the lower upper class, Proctor
was molded as a fighter so he could protect those of the Upper class.
He served for years as the personal body guard of Mirax Antilies (no
relation to Wedge) of Corellia. When Mirax had her first born named
Borel, Proctors new duty was the upmost safety of the child. He raised
the boy as if he were his own, teaching him the skills of mind and body.
As the years drew on Borel became a skilled pilot, and Proctor shadowed
him as they flew Z-95's through the senic worlds that Mirax's diplomatic
dutys took them to. Unbeknowenst to either Proctor or Borel, Mirax was
a Jedi sympathizer and was harbouring Jedi from the troubles caused
by Palpatine. On one of their routine excursions on the planet of Bothuwii,
Proctor and Borel where ambushed by a squad of Darth Vader's Jedi hunters.
The battle was long and hard, and eventually the skill of the pilots
was not enough against the overwhelming odds. Proctor's engines were
shot out and he was set on a crash course with a mountain ridge. The
ambushers left Proctor and concentrated on Borel. As Proctor spiraled
closer to the mountain, he was able to see Borel's Z-95 evaporate out
of the corner of his eye. Overcome with grief, Proctor gave up on life.
He let his ship follow it's collision course, and his world went black.
The crash did not kill Proctor, however, even if he wished to be dead
rather than live in shame. No, he was rescued by a group of nomadic
Bothans. They nursed him back to health, and he repaid the favour by
helping them hunt for the winter. And so he lived for years among the
Bothans untill one fatefull day when the Frigate Miranda entered the
Bothuwii system. While in one of the local cantinas Proctor came across
a pilot name FTS_Hobbie, from the Miranda. Hobbie tolled Proctor about
the Flying Tiger Squadron, and its beliefs. Proctor was happy to see
that the universe was starting to bring itself up from the dark ways
of Palpatine. Proctor decided to return to the cantina later that week,
and that's when he met Major Spikes. Spikes told Proctor the story of
a lost pilot name Rex, whos personality reminded him of Belor. Proctor
saw his oppourtunity, if he could help out this Rex, he could somehow
repay the debt he owed to Belor. Proctor joined Black Squadron and took
part in the rescue of Rex Hagen.
